Associate AI Developer
Remote · Full-time, part-time or alongside another job · Reports to the CTO
We are looking for someone genuinely excited about coding agents and modern tooling, who wants to build production software with them rather than read about them. You will not be handed a backlog and left alone: you will learn how we get real work out of these tools, on products MSPs use every day.
What you will do
- Orchestrate coding agents and AI-assisted workflows to research, plan, implement, test, review and move changes toward release.
- Squash bugs and keep the products running through hands-on remediation.
- Turn feature requests into working code, building the things users are actually asking for.
- Own incoming client bug reports and feature requests from first contact through resolution and follow-up.
- Talk to clients by email and, when it is useful, run a call to understand or reproduce an issue.
- Take part in code review, giving feedback as well as receiving it.
- Use our existing systems for review, testing, CI, previews and deployment to verify work and watch it land.
- As you train up, take increasing ownership of merges, releases and post-release monitoring.
- Help us find and close gaps in requirements, defect handling and the AI-assisted workflows themselves.

What we are looking for
Curiosity is the requirement. The rest is learnable.
- An AI-first mindset
- You are comfortable working with coding agents, or genuinely eager to learn, and you see them as a core part of how software now gets built. Professional AI-engineering experience is not required. Evidence of serious curiosity and hands-on experimentation is.
- GitHub fluency
- Hands-on with Git and GitHub: branches, pull requests, and collaborating in a shared codebase.
- PSA experience
- Hands-on with a leading MSP PSA, specifically ConnectWise Manage or Kaseya Autotask. This is the part most candidates do not have, and it is the part that makes you useful in week one.
- Code review basics
- You can read somebody else's code, spot the problem, and say so clearly and constructively.
- Clear communication
- You ask useful questions and write professionally to clients and teammates.
- A builder's attitude
- You care about doing good work, you are curious, and you are not afraid to dig into something unfamiliar.
- Self-starter
- You can work independently in a remote, flexible setup, manage your own time, and follow work through to done.
Nice to have, not required
- Serverless hosting
- Deploying and running apps on Vercel, Cloudflare or AWS Lambda.
- Postgres
- Writing queries and understanding how the data is structured.
